Naturopathic Medicine

Naturopathic medicine is a system of primary health care that integrates current, evidence-based science and traditional philosophy into a unique form of treatment using natural therapies. We believe that disease is a symptom of the body trying to heal itself, and we seek to treat the underlying disease using natural, minimally interfering methods.

IV Therapy

All IV appointments require initial IV assessment for reviewing/ordering blood testing and physical examination. Please book your initial IV assessment if you have not been here before.
Please note : Injectables and formula prices are separate from the visit fees and are added as a separate item in the receipt.

Massage Therapy

Massage Therapy involves the manipulation of muscle, connective tissue, and joints of the body. Through massage, one can enhance function, aid in the healing process, and promote relaxation and well-being

Osteopathy

Discovery Call

This is a 10 minute discovery call for individuals interested in learning more about the types of services offered for patients at the Pain Ease Naturopathic Clinic. This call is informational and not meant to provide treatment advice.

Dr. Abdullah Abd Elaziz, ND, MSc, MBChB is a former Anesthesiologist and Pain management physician now turned Naturopathic Doctor. For over 13 years he has helped patients suffering from acute and chronic pain related to sport injuries, surgery, ICU and cancer. Training in naturopathic medicine gives him a unique edge as it allows him to individualize treatment plans that caters to the uniqueness of each and every patient.

His typical treatment model applies non-invasive or minimally invasive approaches to ease pain. To increase efficacy, Dr. Abd Elaziz addresses both the complexity and individuality of the pain presentation; in other words, he looks beyond the “cookie-cutting” approach so deeply rooted in traditional “one size fits all” medicine. He assess the whole person, not just the pain. Because pain is such a complex, multi-level, unpleasant sensory and emotional experience, understanding the root cause (e.g. metabolic, psychological, neurogenic, etc.) of pain ensures a more comprehensive treatment plan with a better outcome and lasting results.

Science and research is one of his largest playing grounds. It’s the forest of a thousand discoveries. Abdullah is a Medical Doctor( Anesthesiologist), Naturopathic Doctor,Researcher and Scientist who stepped outside of his box and really sunk his teeth into all modalities, as through the years he kept hearing about Doctors all over the world who were combining modalities to assist their patients in their health management – and succeeding in ways where their health had improved to degrees that exceeded the results of singular modalities. With 13 years of experience in Anaesthesia and pain management and 4 years of exclusively working in pain management with elderly patients and cancer pain , what Abdullah discovered was that there was no quality life and no functional improvement – all that was happening was keeping patients alive, leaving everything they enjoy behind because of pain and living.

This practitioner has the ability to put himself in his patients shoes – so to speak – he builds your story of pain to the present moment – he paints the entire picture with you – not a single detail is looked over. When your journey is curated into a story, Dr. Abdullah utilizes his modality integration along with his Naturopathy and ensures the best measures are created for each individual patient.

Pain is his passion. Pain is Abdullah’s passion because it is intangible, relative, subjective and invisible, and in that invisibility there lays the curiosity we all share – What causes pain? In a world riddled with theories, this doctor pulls most modalities together – Why all this work, all this attention to detail, all this knowledge, credentials and education? – Because two patients can describe the exact same pain and yet have completely different reasons for the cause.

Maria is a medical doctor from Colombia where she practiced as a family physician for 8 years until she moved to Canada 16 years ago. Discouraged about the way conventional medicine is practiced, she dedicated herself to clinical research working in the pharmaceutical industry for 8 years. However, her calling was to be a healer and becoming a naturopath was the answer and is now her passion. She completed the Doctor of Naturopathy program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. Treating the person as a whole, naturopathic medicine takes into account not only the physical but also the mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of human beings. It emphasizes prevention and optimal health, and identifies the causes of disease instead of treating the symptoms. “My practice is based on a personalized, wholeness approach; my goal is to establish close doctor-patient relationships that allow me to adapt treatments to the uniqueness of each of my patients. I believe in listening to patients as they are their own body experts and know exactly what they need for healing. I am the facilitator and I encourage them to actively participate in the achievement of their personal view of wellness.”

I attended Brock University and earned a degree with an honors in BSc Kinesiology that consisted of an extensive curriculum in biomechanics, human growth, anatomy, neurology and sports injuries. During this time, I played for the rugby varsity team, contributed to mental health and student life clubs, endorsed physical activity and participated in a variety of intramural sports. I spent most of my time working with individuals who suffered from spinal cord injuries, multiple sclerosis and amputations providing personalized exercise programs that focused on their health and functional goals. After University I obtained a diploma in osteopathic manual practice from the National Academy of Osteopathy in Toronto. With an extensive background in kinesiology, athletic therapy and manual osteopathy, I am able to treat physical and physiological dysfunction or imbalances in the body. I use a holistic approach in my treatments and a variety of therapeutic techniques to assist in the body’s self-healing and maximize it’s own health and efficiency. Osteopathy requires the knowledge of anatomy, relation and function of each part of the human body, and is applied to correct the structures and imbalances. Treatments will improve mobility, reduce or remove pain while also easing restrictions and inflammation using, soft and effective techniques such as static joint play, muscle energy techniques (MET’s), soft tissue therapy, myofascial release, visceral manipulations, and craniosacral therapy.
